Od. 11, 483, σεῖο δ' οὔτις ἀνὴρ προπάροιθε μακάρτατος, οὔτ' ἄρ' ὀπίσσω, wo προπάροιθε auf die Vergangenheit geht: keiner ist glücklicher als du, weder in der früheren Zeit, von den Früheren, noch in der Zukunft, von den Nachkommen; auch Soph. sagt πέτομαι δ' ἐλπίσιν οὔτ' ἐνθάδ' ὁρῶν, οὔτ' ὀπίσω, O. R. 488, das hier, das Gegenwärtige und das Künftige, wo schon der Schol. falsch erklärt οὔτε κατὰ τὸ παρὸν ἐρείδων τὸν νοῦν, οὔτε κατὰ τὸ παρεληλυθός; Eur. γράμματα σφραγίζεις, λύεις τ' ὀπίσω, I.
