Μαμμάκῠθος: [ᾱκ], ὁ, κωμικὴ λέξις σημαίνουσα τὸν μωρὸν ἢ ἠλίθιον, Ἀριστοφ. Βάτρ. 990· - ὁ Πλάτων ἢ ὁ Μεταγένης ἔγραψε κωμῳδίαν φέρουσαν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦτο. - Ὅμοιοι κωμικοὶ χαρακτῆρες εἶναι τά: βλιτομάμμας, συκομάμμας (ὡσαύτως ἐκ τοῦ μάμμα), Μαργίτης ἐκ τοῦ μάργος.
