ἡ, (< ἐξείλλω) action of ejectment, brought by a plaintiff alleged to have been unlawfully ejected from or dispossessed of property, Phryn.Com. 42, Com.Adesp. 652, D. 30 and 31 tit., cf. Harp. ap. Suid. s.v. action of ejectment brought by one who claims property in consequence of a judgement of court and is excluded (ejected) from it by the former defendant or his agent, against a defendant who has seized or refused to surrender property, D. 21.81, 91, 52.16. metaph, of an action brought to expel or eject an interloper or trespasser, νόμων [νόμῳ] ἐξούλης λαχεῖν Aristid. Or. 54 p. 688D.; also ἐξούλης ὑμῖν οὐδ' ἂν εἷς λάχοι τῆς γῆς Id. 1.103J. (Mostly found in gen., but τὴν ἐξούλην D. 21.44 (codd. opt.); ἐξούλας ἢ γραφὰς ὦφλον And. 1.73.)
