A glory, delight, honour, Il.4.144, etc.; κεφάλαισιν ἄνδρων ἀγάλματα (sc. λόφοι) Alc.15; χώρας ἄ., of an ode, Pi.N.3.13, cf. 8.16; of children, τέκνον δόμων ἄ.
