T. 303, Τρίτωνες κόχλοισιν ταναοῖς γάμιον μέλος ἠπύοντες Hosch. 2, 124, Theocr. 22, 75 u. sonst. – Auch zweischaalige Muscheln, wie z. B. Austern, werden so genannt. – Verwandt mit κόγχος.
