so in Ep. and Ion., but Dor. and Att. παράορος [ρᾱ], ον (as always in Trag.), also Dor. πάρᾱρος Theoc.15.8 : (παραείρω, cf. συνήορος) : -
A joined or hung beside : hence παρήορος (sc. ἵππος), horse which draws by the side of the regular pair (ξυνωρίς), outrunner, = σειραφόρος, Il.16.471,474, D.H.7.73. II lying along, outstretched, sprawling, ἔκειτο π. ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα 11.7.156 ; ἀχρεῖον καὶ π. δέμας κεῖται A.Pr.365. III metaph., reckless, senseless, οὔ τι π. οὐδ' ἀεσίφρων Il.23.603, cf. Theoc. l.c. ; π. ὄμμα τιταίνειν Tryph.371 ; νόου παρήορος distraught, Archil.56.5.
