κάττα: ἡ, γάττα, λέξις μεταγεν. ἀντὶ τοῦ αἴλουρος, ἔνδρυμοι κάτται παρὰ Καισαρίῳ, ὅστις φαίνεται ὅτι εἶναι ὁ πρῶτος Ἕλλην συγγραφεὺς (περὶ τὸ 350 μ. Χ.), παρ’ ᾧ ἡ λέξις ἀπαντᾷ·- ἀλλὰ cattae Pannonicae μνημονεύονται παρὰ Μαρτ. 13. 69 (περὶ τὸ 70 μ. Χ.). Κατὰ τοὺς χρόνους δὲ Εὐαγρίου τοῦ Ἐκκλ. ἱστορικοῦ (περὶ τὸ 560 μ.
