   A f.l. for -ῶσαι in Them.Or.2.33b:—make to miscarry, νηδὺν ἐξαμβλοῦμεν E.Andr.356:—Pass., of the foetus, miscarry, βρέφος ἐξαμβλωθέν Apollod.3.4.3: metaph., αὕτη ἡ ἐλπὶς ἐξήμβλωτο αὐτῇ Ael.Fr.57.    2 make abortive: metaph., φροντίδ' ἐξήμβλωκας you have made a notion miscarry, Ar.Nu.137; to which Strepsiades retorts, εἰπέ μοι τὸ πρᾶγμα τοὐξημβλωμένον your abortive thought, ib.139, cf.
