   A with straight or upright horns, epith. of horned cattle, Il.8.231, Od.12.348 ; also of galleys, of which the two ends turned up so as to resemble horns, Il.18.3, 19.344 ; of a mountain range, Πυρήνην -κραιρον AP14.121.5 (Metrod.).—Hom. has it only in poet. gen. pl. fem. ὀρθοκραιράων.
