Plu.2.48a. 2 any young animal, as a young crocodile, Hdt.2.68; of young children, A.Ch.256, 501, E.Alc.403 (lyr.), al., Pl.Lg.776a: fem., ἦν νεοττὸς καὶ νέα (sc. Lais) Epicr.3.15: in pl., young bees, X.
