A furnish with eyes, [ἀγάλματα] D.S.4.76 :—Pass., τὸ σῶμα πρόσω ὠμμάτωται Plu.Fr.inc.91. 2 give sight to, τὰ ὄμματα Zos. Alch.p.117 B. II metaph., ὠμμάτωσα γὰρ σαφέστερον [τὸν λόγον] made it more clear to the mind's eye, A.Supp.467 :—Pass., φρὴν ὠμματωμένη a mind quick of sight, Id.Ch.854.
