(πῖλος)

   A = πιλόω (which is rejected by EM672.12), compress wool, make it into felt, πιληθεὶς πέτασος a felt hat, AP6.282 (Theod.).    II generally, compress, close up, πιλοῦντες ἑαυτούς Ar.
