Αἰγῐμιός father of Dymas and Pamphylos and therefore one of the founders of the Dorian race.
   1 θέλοντι δὲ Παμφύλου καὶ μὰν Ἡρακλειδᾶν ἔκγονοι ὄχθαις ὕπο Ταυγέτου ναίοντες αἰεὶ μένειν τεθμοῖσιν ἐν Αἰγιμιοῦ Δωριεῖς (P. 1.64) τῷ Λακεδαίμονι ἐν Ἄργει τε καὶ ζαθέᾳ Πύλῳ ἔνασσεν (sc. Ἀπόλλων) ἀλκάεντας Ἡρακλέος ἐκγόνους Αἰγιμιοῦ τε i. e. the three Dorian tribes; Dymanes, Pamphyloi, and from Hyllos, son of Herakles, Hylleis.
