3pl. impf. Pass., hobbled along beneath, in the phrase γούνατα δ' ἐρρώσαντο, πόδες δ' ὑπερικταίνοντο Od.23.3: according to Aristarch. it meant ἄγαν ἐπάλλοντο, and other ancient critics gave other explanations, v. EM779.9; a reading ὑποακταίνοντο(= ἔτρεμον) is mentioned in Hsch.; cf. ἀκταίνω.
