Aehnlich nannte Archilochos eine Hure δῆμον, »ein gemeines Weibsstück«, Suid. s. v. Μυσάχνη Eustath. p. 1329, 34. 1088, 39 (Bergk Lyr. Gr. ed. 2 p. 574 frgm. Archiloch. no 184). Weniger kühn Thuc. 8, 73 ὄντες [[δῆμος]] und τοῖς ἄλλοις ὡς δήμῳ ὄντι.
