On the formation nothing certain can be said (cf. <b class="b3">ψιάζω</b>, <b class="b3">ψίακα ψακάδα</b> H.?); ending as in <b class="b3">λαγών</b>, <b class="b3">κενεών</b>, <b class="b3">πυγών</b>, <b class="b3">ἀγκών</b> and other names of bodyparts. -- I proposed a Pre-Greek origin <b class="b2">*syag-</b> giving <b class="b3">σιαγ-</b> (FS Kortlandt); an IE basic form is hardly possible.
