Ήταν γιος της Στίλβης και του Απόλλωνα, ανηψιός του Υψέα, εγγονός του Πηνειού , επώνυμου του ποταμού, και της νύμφης Κρέουσας, αδελφός του ήταν ο Κένταυρος. Ήταν πατέρας της Διομήδης συζύγου του Αμύκλα και των Αυγεία και Άκτωρα . | |||
