Bd. 2 S. 87 τυπήσομαι will. – Τύπτω gehört zu den Verben, durch welche Homer nur den Angriff ἐκ χειρός bezeichnet, bei dem der Angreifende sich von der Waffe nicht trennt, wie beim Wurf und beim Schuß, s. Lehrs Aristarch. ed. 2 p. 51–70. Nach Homer ist der Gebrauch von τύπτειν freier; Hermesian. bei Athen. 13, 71 vs. 63 ὑπὸ σκολιοῖο τυπέντα τόξου, Pfeilschuß; Polyb. 3, 53, 4 τοῖς μὲν τὰς πέτρας ἐπικυλίοντες, τοὺς δ' ἐκ <b class="b2">χειρὸς</b> τοῖς λίθοις τύπτοντες, Steinwürfe; vgl.
