[[mostly]] for גּורָל and נַחֲלָה; a [[lot]]; i. e.:<br /><b class="num">1.</b> an [[object]] used in casting or [[drawing]] lots, [[which]] [[was]] [[either]] a [[pebble]], or a [[potsherd]], or a [[bit]] of [[wood]] ([[hence]], [[κλῆρος]] is to be [[derived]] from [[κλάω]] (cf.
