I hairy, shaggy (syn.: villosus, setosus): ovis ventrem habet pilosum, Varr. R. R. 2, 2: genae, Cic. Pis. 1, 1: pilosiora folia, Plin. 20, 16, 64, § 172: ursis asperior pilosiorque, Auct.
