v. intrans.
Meddle: Ar. and P. πολυπραγμονεῖν. Inlerfere with, meddle with: P. and V. ἅπτεσθαι (gen.), κινεῖν (acc.). Oppose: P. and V. ἐναντιοῦσθαι (dat.) , ἀνθίστασθαι (dat.). Be an obstacle to: P. and V. ἐμποδὼν εἶναι (dat.), ἐμποδὼν γίγνεσθαι (dat.). They feared that winter might interfere with their blockade: P. ἐδεδοίκεσαν μὴ σφῶν χειμὼν τὴν φυλακὴν ἐπιλάβοι (Thuc. 4, 27).
