   A made from grapes already pressed, τρύγες στεμφυλίτιδες wine made in this way, Hp.Vict.2.52, Morb.3.17: -ίτης,= vinacium, Gloss. -ον, τό, (στέμβω) mass of olives from which the oil has been pressed, olivecake, Ar.Eq.806: mostly in pl., Hp.Acut.64, Ar.Nu.45 (ubi v. Sch.), Fr.392; λιπῶσι στεμφύλοις Phryn.Com.38, cf. Androcl. ap. Arist.Rh. 1400a13, Ath.2.56d.    II pl., mass of pressed grapes, Hp.Morb.2.69, Aff.27 (where it seems to be a drink), Lyc.678, PSI6.554.20 (iii B.C.), PCair.Zen.527.8 (iii B.C.); οἶνον ἀπὸ στεμφύλων LXX Nu.6.4; σταφυλῆς στέμφυλα Arist.Fr.107: in sg., Gal.6.576.—Signf. 1 is said to be Att. by Phryn.384.
