Drive out of one's senses: P. and V. ἐξιστάναι, ἐκπλήσσειν, P. καταπλήσσειν.

Dull: P. and V. ἀμβλύνειν, ἀπαμβλύνειν, V. καταμβλύνειν.

Lull to sleep: P. and V. κοιμίζειν (Plat.), V. κοιμᾶν.

Stupefy with smoke: Ar. τύφειν.
