v. trans.
P. and V. παραβαίνειν, ὑπερβαίνειν. ἐκβαίνειν, P. ὑπερπηδᾶν, παρέρχεσθαι, V. ὑπερτρέχειν, παρεξέρχεσθαι; see also transgress. Having overstepped the appointed time: V. παρεὶς τὸ μόρσιμον (Eur., Alc. 939).
