Crop: P. and V. καρπός, ὁ, θέρος, τό, Ar. and V. ἄροτος, ὁ, στάχυς, ὁ. In gathering: P. συγκομιδή, ἡ. Reap the harvest: Ar. ἀμᾶν θέρος, V. ἐξαμᾶν θέρος, P. θέρος ἐκθερίζειν, καρπὸν θερίζειν (mid. in Ar.). They were engaged in gathering in the harvest: P. ἐν καρποῦ συγκομιδῇ ἦσαν (Thuc. 3, 15). v. trans. P. συγκομίζειν (Xen.).
