   A railing or latticed partition, serving as the bar of the courts of law, the council-chamber, etc., Ar. V.380: mostly in pl., ὑπερεπήδων τοὺς δ. Id.Eq.675; ὑπὸ τοῖς δ. Id.V. 386; ἐπὶ τοῖς δ. ib.552, X HG2.3.55: sg., δρυφάκτου τρόπῳ Apollod. Poliorc.172.1.    2 hand-rail, Plb.1.22.6, 10.    3 balcony, Arist. Ath.50.2:—written δρύφρακτοι, Lib.Or.11.217.
