Arist.Aud.803a37.    2 esp. for the purpose of setting broken or dislocated bones, Hp.Fract.13 (pl.), Mochl.38.    3 torture, torment, D.H.7.68, Ael.Fr.276; κατατάσεις τῆς ψυχῆς Ph.2.599.    4 violent exertion, μετὰ φιλονικίας καὶ κ., cj. for -στάσεως in Pl.Lg. 796a.    II extension in space, spreading, Id.Ti.58e (-στασιν cod.).    2 = ὁλκὴ εἰς τοὺς κάτω τόπους, Gal.19.461.
