   A bearable, sufferable, tolerable, mostly with a neg. (like ἀνασχετός), λοίγια ἔργα . . οὐδ' ἔτ' ἀνεκτά Il.1.573; χρειὼ . . οὐκέτ' ἀνεκτός 10.118, Thgn.1195, etc.: so mostly in Att., οὐκ ἀνεκτόν A.Ag.1364; οὐκ ἀνεκτά S.Ant.282, etc.; or with a question, ἦ ταῦτα δῆτ' ἀνεκτά; Id.OT429; ταυτὶ δῆτ' ἀνέκτ' ἀκούειν; Ar. Th.563:—οὐκ ἀνεκτόν [ἐστι] foll. by inf., with or without μὴ οὐ, Pl.
