   A make equal, αὑτὸν ἀ. τοῖς κλιντῆρσιν, in reference to Procrustes, Plu.Thes. 11, cf. Luc.Pr.Im.13:—Pass., to be made equal, τῇ ἀξίῃ τῶν φορτίων to their value, Hdt.4.196, cf. Sch.Il.Oxy.1086i 22 (in form ἀφ-).
