   A set upright, ἐ. τὰ ὦτα prick the ears, v.l. in Ph.2.4 : but mostly of the voice, lift up at or over, ὀλολυγμὸν τῇδε λαμπάδι A.Ag. 29 ; Ἐρινὺν τήνδε δώμασιν ib.1120 : abs., ἐ. γόοις lift up the voice in wailing, Id.Pers.1050(lyr.).
