A to be short-sighted, have weak sight, Hp.Prorrh.2.42, etc., Pl.R.508c, al., Hp.Mi.374d; ἀ. πρὸς τὸ φῶς to be dazzled by it, Luc. Cont.1, cf. Jul.Or.5.163a; ἀ. τὰ τηλικαῦτα Luc. Tim.27; τὸ τοῦ γήρως ἀμβλυῶττον Plu.2.13e.
