A = λόχιος, λοχαίας ἐξ ἕδρας prob.l.in E.Alc.846, cf. Artem.5.73 (as v.l. for [[λοχεῖος|λοχείους]] [[δίφρος|δίφρους]]]) ; λ. ἔρως clandestine love, AP15.9 (Cyrus). II bearing down, like heavy ears of corn, λ. σῖτος Phot., cf. Hsch.; and so prob. in Thphr.CP3.21.5, 23.5: hence metaph., richly-blooming, Arat.1057.
