ἀλύτης: -ου, ὁ, ὁ κατὰ τοὺς Ὀλυμπιακοὺς ἀγῶνας φυλάττων τὴν τάξιν, «Ἠλεῖοι... τοὺς ῥαβδοφόρους ἢ μαστιγοφόρους παρὰ τοῖς ἄλλοις καλουμένους, ἀλύτας καλοῦσι», Ἐτυμ.
