Religion 204 says that the net on the Omphalos was so called. This is ascribed to Hesychius and Pollux (4, 116), but neither author says so. It was only a guess (Pauly-Wissowa s.v.: "wohl auch".) In fact Hesychius states that it was called [[γάγγαμον]], q.v.)
