But the original meaning must rather have been <b class="b2">support oneself (on)</b> v.t., if the word is cognate with <b class="b3">θρόνος</b>; <b class="b3">θρᾶνος</b>, <b class="b3">θρῆνυς</b> then "the support, the bearer".
