(s. [[κελλάς]] s. v.) connected; [the <b class="b3">-υ-</b> in <b class="b3">κυλίνδω</b> does not belong here]. (The adduced Skt. <b class="b2">kuṇi-</b> [[lame of an arm]] and even more <b class="b2">kuṇḍá-</b> n. [[jar]] do not belong here, s. Mayrhofer Wb. s. v.) The form is recently explained by B. Vine, Comp. Indogerm. (1999) 566 from <b class="b2">*kol-i̯ó-</b> (according to a variant of Cowgill's law of <b class="b3">ο</b> > <b class="b3">υ</b>).
