P. and V., δάκτυλος, ὁ. Reckon on one's fingers: Ar. λογίζεσθαι . . . ἀπὸ χειρός. He killed men who had never raised a finger against him and were not enemies: P. διέφθειρε οὔτε χεῖρας ἀνταιρομένους οὔτε πολεμίους (Thuc. 3, 32). v. trans.
