Be softened: P. ἐπικλασθῆναι (aor. pass. ἐπικλᾶν). μαλακίζεσθαι. V. μαλθακίζεσθαι, μαλθάσσεσθαι, πεπανθῆναι (aor. pass. πεπαίνειν). P. and V. κάμπτεσθαι, τέγγεσθαι (Plat. but rare P.), Ar. and V. μαλάσσεσθαι. Change one's mind: P. and V. μεταγιγνώσκειν. Show mercy: P. and V. αἰδεῖσθαι. Relent towards: use pity.
