Q.S.14.583:—cast over, Il.cc.; throw down upon, ἐ. τὸν οἶκόν τισι, of Samson, J.AJ5.8.12, cf. 14.15.5; throw down at, πέτρους D.C.50.33. 2. let fall down or droop at a thing, τὰ ὦτα X.Cyn.4.3. 3. impose a fine, Tab.Heracl.1.134, where for ἐπικαταβάνοντι Ahrens corrected -βαλίοντι (fut.part.). 4. Pass., to be distrained upon by a creditor, Meyer Juristische Papyri p.224 (i B.C.).
