R.608c ; ironically in D.Ep.3.38, Plb.8.12.5, etc.: rarely in sg., Id.38.3.2. 2 more freq. of punishment, τοιαῦτα τῆς ὑψηγόρου γλώσσης.. τἀπίχειρα γίγνεται A.Pr.321, cf. Antipho 1.20, Arr.Epict.3.24.24, Ph.1.512, etc.; τῆς προπετείας πικρὰ κομίζονται τἀ. Phld.Ir.p.32 W.; ξιφέων ἐ. λαχοῦσα the wages of the sword, i.e. slaughter by it, S.Ant.820 (lyr.).
