säen, I) v. tr.seminare; serere. – Früchte auf den Acker s., agrum seminare. – Uneig., Zwietracht unter die Bürger s., civiles discordias serere. – II) v. intr. seminare. serere (Samen in den Boden bringen). – semen spargere (Samen ausstreuen). – sementem facere (die Saat bestellen). – Sprichw., wie du säst, so wirst du ernten, ut sementem feceris, ita metes (Cic. de or. 2, 261).
