D., wie τετρηχυῖα [[θάλασσα]] Leon. Tar. 96 (VII, 283). Erst spätere Dichter haben hiernach ein praes. [[τρήχω]] gemacht, das aber für jene homerische Form anzunehmen nicht nöthig ist; aus der att. Form θρασσω, für [[ταράσσω]], wird regelnmäßig τέτρᾶχα, ion. [[τέτρηχα]], abgeleitet, s. Buttm. Lexil. I p. 210. Damit hängt τρηχύς zusammen.
