Fr. 18, 8 has <b class="b3">ἀμιχθαλόεσσαν</b> ... <b class="b3">ἠέρα</b>, so he connects <b class="b3">ὀμίχλη</b>, which is quite impossible (e.g. <b class="b3">ὀ-</b> represents <b class="b2">*h₃-</b>) . Scholion BT on Ω 753 gives = <b class="b3">εὑδαίμων</b>, which is no more than a non-committal guess (Lagercrantz IF 50, 1932, 277-80 <b class="b3">*ἀμικτο-θαλοεσσα</b>, a construct that would hardly have been syncopated to our form).
