v. intrans.
Ar. and P. διακύπτειν (Xen.), Ar. παρακύπτειν, προκύπτειν, παραβλέπειν. I peeped over their heads and saw: P. ὑπερκύψας κατεῖδον (Plat., Euthyd. 271A). Just appear: P. ὑποφαίνειν. Peep at: P. and V. ὑποβλέπειν (acc.), Ar. and V. παραβλέπειν (acc.), V. παρεμβλέπειν εἰς (acc.). subs. P. and V. βλέμμα, τό. Allow a peep of, v.: Ar. παραφαίνειν (with partitive gen.).
