   A repelled by a hard body, τύπος ἀ. blow and counter-blow, of the hammer and anvil, Orac. ap. Hdt.1.67, cf. 68; of sound, echoed, echoing, στόνος S.Ph.694(lyr.), 1460(lyr.), cf. APl.4.154 (Luc. or Arch.); κατὰ τὸ ἀ. by repercussion, of an echo, Luc.Dom.3; of light, reflected, ἀκτῖνες Tryph.519, cf.
