   A εὔμᾱριν A.Pers.660 (lyr.); but acc. pl. εὐμᾱρίδας (sic) Lyc.855 (on the accent, v. Hdn.Gr.1.99): —an Asiatic shoe or slipper (made of deerskin, Poll.7.90), βαρβάροις ἐν εὐμάρισι E.Or.1370 (lyr.); κροκόβαπτον . . εὔμαριν ἀείρων A.l.c.; βαθύπελμος εὔμᾰρις AP7.413 (Antip.), cf. Lyc.l.c. (Prob. a foreign word.)

Or. 1364; für Frauen, Lycophr. 855, βαθύπελμος εὐμαρίς Ant. Sid. 82 (VII, 413) [α kurz]. Die Alten leiten es von εὐμάρα od. εὐμαρής ab, doch scheint es ein orientalisches Wort.
