If [[κύσσαρος]] is the really Ionic form of [[κύτταρος]] and not a transformation of (or after) [[κυσός]] [for which I see no reason], we come at a quite unsatisfactory basis <b class="b3">*κυτϜαρος</b>, which is together with [[κύτος]], [[κυσός]], [[κύσθος]], [[κύστις]] thrown in one pot. The meanings of the two forms are also ununderstandable. An original <b class="b3">*κυκ-ι̯αρος</b> would not help farther. - Prob. a Pre-Greek word.
