XIV, 637 a scheint μαγαδῖδες zu schreiben, – ein dreieckiges, harfenähnliches Saiteninstrument, welches 20 Saiten enthielt, [[ψάλλω]] δ' [[εἴκοσι]] χορδαῖσιν μάγαδιν ἔχων, Anacr. bei Ath. a. a. – Auch eine Flötenart, ὁ [[μάγαδις]], wie Ion bei Ath. a. a. O., [[Λυδός]] τε [[μάγαδις]] αὐλὸς ἡγείσθω βοῆς, die zugleich einen hohen u. einen tiefen Ton angab, μάγαδιν λαλήσω μικρὸν ἅμα σοι καὶ μέγαν Anaxandrid. bei Ath. a. a. O., die auch [[κιθαριστήριος]] hieß; vgl. noch Ath. IV, 182. – Ueber die verschiedenen Formen des Wortes vgl. Bergk zu Anacr. p. 86 ff. u. Mein. com. III, 179.
