v. trans.
Ar. and P. διοικεῖν, ταμιεύειν, P. and V. οἰκεῖν, νέμειν, Ar. and V. ἁρμόζειν, V. νωμᾶν, πορσύνειν; see manage, govern. Fix, appoint: P. and V. τάσσειν, προστάσσειν. We cannot regulate the extent to which we wish our empire to reach: P. οὐκ ἔστιν ἡμῖν ταμιεύεσθαι εἰς ὅσον βουλόμεθα ἄρχειν (Thuc. 6, 18). Arrange in order: P. διατάσσειν, V. στοιχίζειν, διαστοιχίζεσθαι, διασταθμᾶσθαι.
