Pass. of κίδνημι (only found in the compd. ἐπικ-), poet. for σκεδάννυμαι, used only in pres. and impf.,

   A to be spread abroad or over, of the dawning day, ὑπεὶρ ἅλα κίδναται ἠώς Il.23.227, cf. 8.1; ὀδμὰ κατὰ χῶρον κ. Pi.Fr.129.6; κιδναμέναν μελιαδέα γᾶρυν prob. in Simon.41: once in Trag., ὕπνος ἐπ' ὄσσοις κ. E.Hec.916 (lyr., v.l. for σκίδ-) ; κολοιῶν κρωγμὸς . . κιδνάμενος AP7.713 (Antip.).
